This closure is required as deconstruction of the old High Viaduct continues over McDowell Avenue. The work will include demolishing the steel truss and columns.

Beginning the week of May 13 and continuing for approximately one month, there will be intermittent traffic control on Mason Street and minor parking impacts east of the Sports Basement. This work is required as part of ongoing utility installation and relocation. Please watch for “No Parking” signs, detour signs and traffic flaggers.

The work includes removing pavement (saw cutting and jackhammering), digging trenches, installing utilities, replacing and compacting soil and paving. This work is expected to last approximately 3 weeks.
